The New Beginning Fellowship Center is dedicated to giving back to the community. Each year The New Beginning Fellowship Center “Still Hope” Program looks forward to being able to scholarship ten individuals, who are unable to afford treatment.  The “Still Hope” Program was established for just for that reason.  The Program is aimed toward helping individuals who do not have health care, who are indigent, and for those who are unemployed.  The “Still Hope” program came in to effect in January 2010.
The Program consists of Twenty-Six hours of group sessions a week, five individual sessions a week with daily activity, as well as vocational training, combined with daily attendance of 12 Step Meetings. Clients are expected to obtain a 12 step sponsor within 30 days of admit. Clients are randomly alcohol and drug tested, and monitored for compliance. All clients receive a thorough bio-psychosocial assessment, and an individualized treatment plan in our residential facility.
Also, the program offers an Intensive Outpatient Program that consists of three (3) group sessions a week, one individual session a week, combined with daily attendance of five 12 Step Meetings a week, and obtain a 12 step sponsor Clients are randomly alcohol and drug tested, receive a thorough bio psychosocial assessment,  and an individualized treatment plan. According to a new study by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA, the proportion of all substance abuse treatment admissions of those aged 12 and older involving abuse of prescription pain relievers rose by over 400 percent from 2.2 percent in 1998 to 9.8 percent in 2008). This dramatic rise in the proportion of admissions associated with the abuse of these drugs occurred among nearly all segments of the population regardless of age, gender, educational level and employment status.
The recession continues, but substance abuse, prescription pills, and alcohol abuse also continue to affect our communities, as well as our children, whether it’s online, in the newspaper or on television.  Actually, due to the recession, more individuals are falling prey to substance abuse to ease the pain. The only way to stop substance abuse is through education! For more information on the “Still Hope” Program , please contact The New Beginning Fellowship Center.
